I am a Welshman, married to a Yorkshire girl for what will be 37 years this year. We live in a log cabin on the Manistee river in Michigan, sharing this with a
Wirehair Pointing Griffon, my sometime fishing partner. My fishing interests center around fly fishing for trout, with a few asides for Steelhead, Salmon, Bass
and Bluegills. Bamboo rods are a big part of the mix, casting, fishing and making them. Along with the fishing, some fly tying, guideing, teaching, and the
books that take me further down this slippery slope.
I bought my first fly rod almost 50 years ago, so this has'nt been a passing fancy, I am in for the long haul. My favorite places to fish are spring
creeks. I like to fish a mixture of home waters and new places to keep things fresh. I have been a member of TU since moving to Michigan thirty years ago, and
I have been a FFF certified casting instructer since soon after the program started.
Tight lines........ glue and fish.

I have to leave now and go lay down so all this goes away.
Too much, too much to keep thinking about.
See you at the next club meeting.

I noticed your post regarding Wanigas rods. I own one Wanigas rod that was build on a Young midge blank. I was interested in the one that is up on Bob Summers site:

It is a Wanigas supreme. What is intriguing about the rod is that it was built with light cane (not flammed) but is in a 2 piece configuration. I asked Bob about the bamboo blank and he said that it could be Young, but he wasn´t sure. I was wondering if you had any idea. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Michael
